Westons Traditional Range Gets a Facelift

June 23 2009

Westons traditional off trade range, consisting of four draught ciders and one draught perry, has taken on a fresh new look for its summer 09 relaunch. The changes create consistency across the traditional draught family, as well as incorporating the company’s new corporate branding and the revisions to Vintage Organic, following the rebrand of the company’s organic range.

‘The changes have been evolutionary, not revolutionary, as it was important to maintain product recognition whilst updating the range’s appearance.’ said Roger Jackson, Westons Commercial Director.  ‘We are all having to work harder to get our products noticed on the shelf in the current climate and the new look of our new range does just that.’

But whilst the range has a fresh new appearance, the ciders and perry reassuringly remain the same high quality as those first launched as draught products many years ago. The traditional craft cider making skills used to make these products ensure a purity and “premiumness” very popular with discerning cider drinkers.

In addition, Old Rosie, the range’s flagship brand has also just been launched in an innovative new lighter 500ml bottle that, like the 330ml bottle in the same range, contains the light, crisp and dry lightly carbonated version of the popular cloudy Scrumpy cider.

The new bottle shape, which is bespoke and unique to Westons, is being used across the 500ml range. This will help to encourage cross range selling through increased recognition of the Westons brand.
