Understanding Cider - Your Opportunity to Learn More
March 07 2009For anyone with an interest in learning more about the fascinating world of cider and perry might like to consider taking part in one of two Cider and Perry Appreciation Course being run this year.
The Foundation Certificate, run by the National Association of Cider Makers, is designed to provide an introduction into the world of cider and perry, an overview as to how the products are made and an insight into the industry’s history. And yes there are tasting sessions as well when you get to hone your analytical skills and knowledge!
The next two day course takes place at Westons Cider in Much Marcle, Herefordshire between May 20 and 22 with a further course at Thatchers, at Sandford near Bristol, between September 16-18.
‘Whether you are in the industry already or simply an enthusiastic and interested consumer then this could well be of interest to you,’ said Course Coordinator Harry Turner.
‘Previous participants have found the courses both instructive and enjoyable and you leave with a much better knowledge of an industry that it rooted in our history but continues to show its innovative and entrepreneurial credentials,’ he said.
