GOBSMACKINGLY GOOD NEWS FROM THATCHERS

May 10 2010

Thatchers' Green Goblin Cider is now available on draught, just weeks after bringing Green Goblin into its portfolio, and coinciding with a new consumer press launch in Private Eye magazine.

'Had Alistair Darling tasted this, he would’ve slapped on a Flavour Tax as well!' declares the “bloke from the oak” in the latest satirical ad from Green Goblin.

Continuing its series of  Oakrageously Oak-Aged ads, a new campaign will also be running in the trade press, with strap lines such as “Folk marvel at how beautifully I’ve aged”, “This Oak-Aged Beauty is now on draught” and “Every cider buff know the most sumptuous cider comes from oak”.

Martin Thatcher, managing director of Thatchers Cider says, 'We couldn’t keep all that beauty bottled up, so we’ve gone one better and made Green Goblin available on draught, fresh from our one hundred year old oak vats.'

The brand is being supported by a range of point of sale including glasses, t-shirts tent cards and coasters.

Green Goblin is a 6% bittersweet cider, full of rich flavours and beautifully balanced to give a fresh character with a medium dry finish. Made in Somerset with the juiciest apples, cold filtered, and matured in oak, with Green Goblin “one sip and your taste buds will be dancing with joy”.
