Aspall Suffolk Cyder available at sea for first time

January 26 2010

Aspall Suffolk Cyder has become the first cyder aboard the Cunard fleet – the most famous and luxurious ocean liners in the world. This marks the first time the cyder has been available at sea and forms part of the super-premium cyder maker’s continued expansion into the premium on-trade.

Aspall Draught Suffolk Cyder (keg format) is now available on Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and from autumn 2010, the Queen Elizabeth, Cunard’s latest arrival, which is currently being constructed.

Geoff Bradman, Aspall commercial director, said: 'We are delighted that Aspall Suffolk Cyder is now on board the world’s best ocean liners and we are pleased to be able to enhance consumers’ voyages with a quality cyder which is made from 100% apple juice.'

Peter Shanks, president and managing director of Cunard Lines commented: 'Aspall Suffolk Cyder sits extremely well on our luxury liners in that it perfectly reflects their quality and premium credentials. The cyder is already proving to be extremely popular with the discerning consumers who choose to travel with Cunard.'

Aspall’s complex blend of bitter-sweet and culinary apples has been handed down through eight generations of the Chevallier family since 1728. To this day, the family still signs off every single batch of cyder before it is bottled, to ensure that quality remains first and foremost. All Aspall cyders are made from 100% apple juice, to provide the best quality taste possible. January 26, 2010
