A Year in The Life of A Cider-Maker

May 23 2011

Sheppy’s Cider is delighted to be showcasing a new DVD in the rural life museum at its farm near Taunton.

Produced by Kevin Redpath and narrated by James Crowden, the DVD is the product of a year’s filming in the orchards, cellars and bottling hall at Sheppy’s.  The DVD beautifully depicts a year’s work at the farm culminating in the bottled Sheppy's product.

Louisa Sheppy said “We wanted an up-to-date DVD for our visitors, which would capture both the beauty of the English cider orchard and the reality of the work involved in making traditional cider.  We have worked with Kevin before and were confident he would create a high quality short film which not only promotes Sheppy’s Cider, but educates the visitor about cider’s place, past and present, in rural life”.

The DVD is currently showing at Sheppy’s Cider Museum and at the Hereford Cider Museum.
